Natalie Krick: Promise You’ll Make Me Up

Promise you'll make me up features new photographic objects and collages by Seattle artist Natalie Krick. Krick manipulates appropriated photographs of Marilyn Monroe, transforming her iconic image into fragments, mirrors, and veils. Using techniques like bending, scratching, layering, puncturing and masking photographs with reflective resin, Krick creates visually striking objects that evoke Monroe's iconic image while simultaneously rendering her unrecognizable.
